TTTJILI Valid IDs: The 8 GCash Takes for Wallet Verification
GCash's help page lists 8 valid IDs for a Filipino aged 18 or over with a PH SIM: National ID, Passport, Pag-IBIG Loyalty Plus, Driver's License, Postal ID, PRC ID, UMID and SSS ID.
- Philippine National ID
- Card, paper type or digital. The only ID GCash accepts as a scan or photocopy.
- Passport
- Accepted by GCash for adults, GCash Jr. and overseas Filipinos; Maya's minor list names it too.
- HDMF (Pag-IBIG Loyalty Plus)
- The Pag-IBIG card, listed by GCash for adults and overseas Filipinos.
- Driver's License / BLTO Driver's License
- Listed by GCash; Maya's minor list takes it from applicants aged 16 and above.
- Philippine Postal ID
- Listed by GCash; Maya's minor list adds the condition of issue from 2015 onwards.
- PRC ID
- The Professional Regulation Commission card, on GCash's adult list and on BSP Circular 608.
- UMID
- The unified multi-purpose ID, on GCash's adult list.
- SSS ID
- Listed by GCash; Circular 608 names the SSS Card.
Your wallet decides which valid ids it takes, not the casino lobby you pay from. GCash’s own help page names 8 IDs for a Filipino aged 18 or over with a PH SIM, and this page sets them beside Maya’s rule and the BSP’s older circular. If you are reading this because someone asked you for an ID photo, start with the online scam checks for TTTJILI players and come back.
The 8 valid IDs GCash lists for adults
GCash’s Accepted IDs page gives this list for Filipinos 18 and over with a PH SIM. You need one.
- National ID (card, paper type or digital)
- Passport
- HDMF (Pag-IBIG Loyalty Plus)
- Driver’s License or BLTO Driver’s License
- Philippine Postal ID
- PRC ID
- UMID
- SSS ID
What every ID has to be
GCash sets three conditions that apply whichever card you pick, and they matter just as much when you read how GCash casino top-ups work and your account level sets the limits. Miss one and the review stalls.
| Condition on GCash’s page | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| Valid and not expired | Check the expiry printed on the card before you open the app |
| Not damaged and clear | A cracked or peeling card scans badly |
| The actual physical ID | Scans, xerox and photocopies are refused, except for the National ID |
Maya’s rule: one primary or two secondary
Maya asks for a count, not a fixed list. Its upgrade page says an adult must submit “either 1 valid primary ID or 2 valid secondary IDs”. The saved page does not sort the cards into primary and secondary, so read that split inside the Maya app before you start. For a reader with no primary ID, Maya recommends applying for the Philippine National ID.
Example: a reader holding only a Postal ID and a school ID would check in the Maya app whether those two count as secondary before queueing for an upgrade. The same wallet-side detail matters when you read how Maya casino top-ups work, because the account level you hold sets what the wallet lets you send.
The BSP’s list in Circular 608
BSP Circular 608, dated 20 May 2008, tells banks and non-bank financial institutions to ask a first-time client for the original and a clear copy of at least one valid photo-bearing ID. Your wallet’s own list governs your account, and the circular’s wording below is as the Lawyerly legal library reproduces it. The circular names these among its valid IDs:
| ID named in Circular 608 | Also on GCash’s adult list? |
|---|---|
| Passport | Yes |
| Driver’s License | Yes |
| PRC ID | Yes |
| Postal ID | Yes |
| SSS Card | Yes, as SSS ID |
| NBI Clearance, Police Clearance, Voter’s ID, Barangay Certification | No |
IDs for minors, overseas Filipinos and foreigners
GCash keeps separate lists.
GCash Jr. (ages 7 to 17) takes the National ID, Passport, Student ID, or an Alien Certificate of Registration for foreign minors. Overseas Filipinos with a non-PH SIM use the same eight IDs as adults. Foreigners residing in the Philippines use ACR, Driver’s License, SRRV, DFA Diplomat ID or a DOLE Alien Employment Permit.
Which ID clears fastest
No saved page ranks one card above another. GCash’s how-to says an SMS update arrives after 3 days, and its failed-verification page says you can resubmit within 10 days or restart the whole process. The practical difference is the National ID: it is the one card GCash lets you scan or photocopy, so it is the one you can submit without the plastic in your hand.
- Pick a card that is valid and undamaged.
- Type your details exactly as printed on it.
- Scan it in bright light, without flash, fully visible.
Where an ID photo must not go
A wallet asks for your ID inside its own app, after Profile and Verify Now. A chat message that asks for the same photo is the pattern the identity theft page describes.
A message in a chat window says your wallet needs re-verifying and asks you to send a photo of your ID and selfie.
Stop. Open the wallet app yourself and look under Profile for a Verify Now prompt. The lobby’s notice on account security says its customer service must not request or record login or withdrawal passwords, and its reset rules ask for ID documents only inside the 24CS chat you opened on the lobby yourself.
When the ID is rejected
The selfie step, not the card, causes many rejections, so read the liveness check selfie step before you resubmit. If money has already left your wallet because of a fake verification request, the chargeback rules for wallet payments explain what a wallet can and cannot reverse.
GCash rejected your ID scan and the SMS says there was a quality error.
Use the original, unexpired card, make sure the name and number match what you entered, retake the photo without flash with the card right side up, and resubmit within 10 days. After 10 days GCash’s page says you restart the whole process.

FAQ
How many valid IDs does GCash need to verify my account?
One. GCash's how-to page says you only need 1 valid government ID, chosen from the accepted list on its Accepted IDs page.
Puwede ba ang photocopy ng ID sa GCash?
No, except for the National ID. GCash's page says scanned, xerox or photocopied IDs are not allowed, and that it must be the actual physical ID.
Which valid ID clears fastest?
The saved GCash and Maya pages rank no ID by speed. GCash says every submission gets an SMS update after 3 days, so choose the ID that is valid, undamaged and matches the details you typed.
Should I send my ID photo to the casino chat to verify my wallet?
No. Wallet verification happens inside the wallet's own app. The lobby's reset rules say customer service asks for identification documents in the forgotten-password case, so use the 24CS chat you opened on the lobby yourself, never a message that reached you first.
